Hi, sweet friends. It’s almost that time of the year. You know the one: when all the bloggers go bananas over the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and tell you that it’s THE best sale of the year and it’s better than anything else in the entire world.
Well. Because it is.

We have a few weeks until the sale starts, but Nordstrom released a preview of the items that will be included in the sale, which they’ve never done before.
So, I wanted to break it all down and give you all of the details you need to know about the sale…

Alright, there’s a reason we make such a big deal out of this sale. It’s the only sale that offers a discount on FALL merchandise before it hits the floors. Before you roll your eyes that I’m already talking about fall – it’s not just cashmere sweaters, boots and coats. There are pieces you can wear for all seasons.
The Nordstrom card is the key to shopping the sale early. While I won’t ever encourage opening a credit card, if you already have a Nordstrom card, make sure you know your Nordy Club Status.
If you DO want to open a Nordstrom card, sign up before August 18th and you will receive a $60 Nordstrom Note to spend at the Anniversary Sale. CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR A NORDSTROM CARD.

If you don’t have a Nordstrom card and don’t plan to get one, you can shop the sale on August 19th.
MAKE A WISHLIST
This year you can preview the pieces that are included in the sale and you can add them to your WISHLIST. I’m taking full advantage of it to make the first day of shopping easier and less stressful.
SHOP FAST
The best items go quickly. There are some restocks, but some years have been better than others. Last year was rough on the restocks. Fingers crossed for a better luck this year, but if you like something, I recommend ordering it. Shipping is free and returns are easy. Also, you can always order online and pick it up/return it in the store.
INVEST IN CLASSICS
In year’s past, I’ve kind of gone crazy with the sale. I purchased classics, but also a lot of pieces just because they were on sale. This year, I’m doing something different. I’ll purchase less overall, but I’m focusing on quality and classic pieces that I will wear for years.
