Last week I celebrated 5 years of sobriety. I spent the day leaning into the practices that I have grown to cherish on my journey – taking care of myself, relaxing, enjoying the comfiest of sweats, and spending authentic and uninterrupted time with those I love the most. While my sobriety anniversary wasn’t the big celebration I had pictured throughout the last five years, it was all about the little moments that have made becoming sober SO worth it. I have learned so much in the last five years, about myself and the world around me and I can’t wait to continue learning and growing – check out what I’ve been up to lately as I’m kicking off year six.

Special Guest Host on the Pod: My Mom

To help me celebrate my 5 years of sobriety I invited a very special guest host to the podcast – my Mom. We’re digging into my past with alcohol and I’m sharing all the things you never want to share with your mother – take a listen.
Self-Care Faves
Sobriety has always been about living a life that is more fulfilling, more present, and more comfortable. I’ve been enjoying some of my favorite self-care rituals, from going to hot yoga to taking hot showers. If you’re looking for a fun way to spend your evenings jigsaw puzzles have been my go-to. Take a peek at my latest puzzle progress here!
Productive Sundays, Every Week

One of my favorite parts of sobriety? Celebrating Sunday every single week. I’m not feeling sluggish, unproductive, or anxious about the week ahead. Instead, I wake up refreshed and clear-headed, ready to enjoy my coffee in peace and enjoy the day with my family. Nothing feels better than being productive on a Sunday and getting ready for the upcoming week.
Learning to appreciate the little things, be more present with my family, cherish the quiet moments, and embrace self-care have been some of the best parts of becoming sober for me. Day after day I have made the choice to live a more purposeful life and now, five years later, I am so proud of myself. No matter where you are on the road to sobriety, every day is worth celebrating. Share how you celebrated your milestones both big and small in the comments below.
