Summer Capsule Wardrobe 2021

J.Crew pointelle sweater | I couldn’t NOT include my favorite cotton sweater in my summer capsule. The pointelle details gives it a summery, delicate feel and it’s easily dressed up or down. I have it in small.

Old Navy striped tee | Stripes = summer, and a striped tee is a must have. There are many options out there, but this one from Old Navy gets rave reviews and is only $10.

J.Crew ruffle tank | This ruffle tank has been a best seller since I first shared it in April. I have it in a few colors and I’m loving this striped one. I have it in small.

Universal Thread chambray shirt | For those chillier summer days or nights, this lightweight chambray shirt is perfect. I’ve been raving about it since I bought it a few months ago. It sold out, but has been restocked! I love it even more than my J.Crew version, which is triple the price. I have it in small.

Halogen lace + crepe tank | I’ve had this tank in my closet for years. The lace details are SO pretty and I love that it’s not at all see through. I have it in black and ivory in an XS.

Goodnight Macaroon floral dress | There’s just something about a pretty ladylike dress. I wanted to include one dressier dress in the capsule because now that the world has opened back up and life is getting back on track, there are parties and showers and get togethers again. YAY.

Billabong floral maxi | I have this dress in my cart and will hit order in like 3 minutes. I love easy dresses that can be dressed up or down. I will wear this one with my flat sandals and my denim jacket. So cute.

Heartloom white dress | An easy, breezy white cotton dress is a definite summer must have. I have been looking for the perfect one, and stumbled upon this one. It’s in my cart.

AGOLDE Parker denim shorts | THE best denim cut offs ever. They’re high enough rise without feeling too constricting, and they’re not too short for all things #momlife.

J.Crew camp shorts | I was looking for a pair of more casual, pull on shorts and found this pair. They come in three colors and are less than $80. I have this color in my cart.

Paige utility shorts | I’ve been wearing these shorts at least once a week since I bought them last month. (I mean, except for those 40 degree days we’ve had lately. Crazy midwest weather.) They go with everything and look good with a plain tank, summer sweater or a dressier blouse. They run true to size.

MOTHER The Tomcat ripped crop jeans | Yes, I had to include jeans in my summer capsule because I still wear them. These are slightly cropped at the ankle (I’m 5’6″ and they’re the perfect cropped length on me) and have a relaxed fit. They run true to size.

AG Prima ankle white jeans | The perfect pair of white jeans is hard to find, and I have landed on these. They’re not too tight and the fit is more relaxed without feeling like it’s too much fabric.

QUAY Sweet Dreams sunglasses | I shared these sunnies in my recent post A Round Up Of My Favorite Sunglasses. They’re oversized, but don’t feel too heavy. And they’re less than $80.

Brixton Joanna straw hat | The best straw hat in the history of ever. I have had it for years and it’s been in many suitcases and been treated horribly, and it’s still held up.

Rattan clutch | A new find! I needed a summer clutch that can be dressed up, and this one is perfect. It’s currently on sale for less than $80.

J.Crew straw tote | When I tell you I’ve been looking for a classic straw tote for a few years, that’s not an exaggeration. I didn’t want to spend a fortune, but I also didn’t want it to look cheap. This one is just what I wanted, and it’s even better in person.

Old Navy distressed denim jacket | Throw on this denim jacket over any summer look for those chilly summer evenings. I have it in small.

Loeffler Randall sport sandals | Yes, I included sport sandals in my 2021 summer capsule wardrobe. No, this isn’t 1999. 🙂 I promise, you will LOVE these sport sandals. They’re crazy comfy and so cute.

Vans sneakers | I wear these sneakers with both jeans and cut offs. Don’t feel like you need to match the black and white. Treat them as a neutral – they really do go with anything. And, they’re super comfortable.

Gucci Princetown loafers | I had to include my recent splurge loafers because you’ll be seeing them a lot this summer and fall. I’ll wear them with jeans and dresses.

Universal Thread espadrilles | I have these espadrilles from last year in the natural color. They’re SO comfy, which I need these days. #gettingolder #omg

Steve Madden Travel sandals | Every time I put on these sandals, I feel like I’m on vacation in Greece. I know, I’m basic, but still. They’re so good.
