Hi, sweet friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend.
It felt like summer in Chicago and I spent most of my time outside, either reading or playing with my flowers. (Yes, my kiddos were there, too. That’s the great thing about being outside – they can keep themselves busy! No screens! So many distractions! Which means they only ask for a snack every 15 minutes instead of every 5 minutes!)
OK, since I’m in the warm weather mood, I thought I’d share a round up of my favorite sunglasses. Sunnies are my STAPLE. For real, if I forget them when I leave home, I feel naked. Way too exposed and vulnerable.
I tend to wear the same ones over and over, and you’ll notice a theme: they’re all black. For real, sunglasses should only come in one color, right? Black. Black. Black.
I do mix it up when it comes to style, though. And price!

Probably my most worn of the bunch. I love how oversized they are, while also not feeling too bulky and heavy on my face.
AMAZON RETRO CAT EYE SUNGLASSES
The funkiest of the bunch! I’m not a huge fan of cat eye sunglasses, but you know I’ll drop $14 on a pair and pull them out when I’m feeling funky. (Literally that sounds so lame.) These are surprisingly high quality. You can’t go wrong.
Another look at the cat eye sunnies and I had to include this one because look at that bump!
AMAZON SUNGAIT CLASSIC ROUND SUNGLASSES
Yep, another trusty pair of $17 sunnies! These are SO lightweight – I was actually surprised when I first put them on. Again, I love how small they are on my face. They come in tortoise, too – which I will allow even though it goes against my only black sunglasses rule. Ha.
RAY-BAN DOUBLE BRIDGE AVIATORS
I love these little guys. Also, don’t be thrown off by the word “green” in the description. These babies don’t look green. They look black. Obvs. I generally have a hard time with aviators because I have a narrow face, and I have to be careful – they can look too big and go wrong quickly. These are the perfect size.
AMAZON SUNGAIT VINTAGE SUNGLASSES
I’ve had these $15 sunglasses for 5 years. They’re still going strong! (Also why is it that my kids will ruin a $450 pair of sunglasses, but keep their little mitts off this pair?? I’ve learned my lesson.)
OK, wow. This close up is…close. Theses are the newest of the bunch, which means I’ll be wearing them allll summer long. That’s just how I roll. They’re oversized, but like my Quay After Hours, I don’t feel like they’re too big for my little face. They’re still light and super comfy. Quay knows how to do it right.
