Happy weekend, sweet friends! I had 20 minutes in Nordstrom yesterday for a mini try on and I was on a mission.
I have an event on Tuesday (stay tuned for more on that!) and have nothing to wear. (Fiiiiiiine. Not nothing to wear. Nothing that I WANT to wear. Better?)
I sped through RTW and grabbed whatever caught my eye. I was looking for some workwear that could double for date night. And of course, there’s a sweatshirt in there because I have no self control.

I’m so impressed with Topshop right now! I haven’t loved it in the past – it seemed too young for me – but they’ve really stepped it up. This leopard top is flattering and would work well for work and date nights. It zips up the back (which is why I’m holding it) and I love the blouson sleeve detail. I’m wearing size 6.
I hadn’t tried Good American jeans yet, so I grabbed a few black pairs on my way into the dressing room. This pair came home with me. The rise is high, but not too high, and they have the perfect amount of stretch. They are crazy flattering. I’m wearing size 4.See? I couldn’t resist grabbing this star sweatshirt on the way into the dressing room. It’s lightweight and a but thinner than a normal sweatshirt. It’s on sale for $32. I’m wearing small.Love, love, love this floral top. It’s a bit sheer, but you could get away with wearing a black bra and don’t need a cami. (I’m wearing a light colored bra and would definitely go with black instead.) It’s easily dressed up with these black jeans, and would look so cute with cut offs in the summer. I’m wearing medium.I loved this animal print top! It wasn’t right for this event, but I have my eye on it for date nights. The slight peplum waist is flattering and the puff sleeve detail is adorable. I’m wearing size 6.This is probably my favorite look, but I didn’t get it because I was trying to stay on task. But now I keep thinking about it, so…. This Def Leppard tee is thicker than a normal tee and so comfy. I’m wearing medium. The Free People leopard skirt is a big trend for spring and so versatile. You can wear it with a slouchy sweater now and a tee and denim jacket in spring. I’m wearing size 2. I’m such a sucker for lace. I allllmost bought this lace top, but thought better of it because I probably have 3 just like in in my closet. (Hey, at least I’m consistent.) It also comes in back, which would look so chic with black jeans and booties. I’m wearing medium.
These are the other pair of black Good American black jeans that I tried on. I liked them – they’re high rise and flattering – but they’re cropped and I needed something dressier. I’m wearing size 6 and probably need a 4. He’s really not pulling his weight, if you ask me.
