Recent Amazon Fashion Hits + Misses

Happy Wednesday, friends! Taking a break from all of the pregnancy news and announcements to share my recent Amazon Fashion hits and misses! And to be clear: “recent” means from December until last week. Oops. I meant to share a lot of these awhile ago, but then I went and got knocked up and life got put on hold. 

If you haven’t shopped Amazon Fashion yet, I highly recommend it. (You can check out my past hauls here.) It can be overwhelming and can be hit or miss, but I’ve gotten the hang of what to order and what I should steer clear of.

Some of my favorite finds come from Daily Ritual. The pieces are classic and well made, but the price tag is totally reasonable.

And in case you need more inspo, I’m sharing some of my all-time Amazon favorites in a widget at the bottom of the post.

This colorblock cardigan was a December purchase and I had high hopes to pair it will cute little cut offs this spring and summer. I’m not sure how the bump is going to cooperate with that, so for now I’m pairing it with my go-to non-maternity leggings, my fav maternity cami and some cute slides. I’m wearing size small, and I wish I would’ve sized up to a medium – and not just because of the bump.

You know I love a cardigan when it covers the booty.

Instead of spending a fortune on these maternity tanks, I found this set of 2 camis and I’m so glad I did. I’ll be wearing them under cardigans and sweaters this spring and then layered under shorter tanks this summer. They’re one size and very stretchy, so they’ll definitely grow with the bump.

File this $30 sweatshirt dress under one of my most favorite Amazon Fashion finds ever. I mean: it’s a sweatshirt, so there’s that. I really wish all clothes to could be sweatshirts. Sweatshirt underwear? Yep. Sweatshirt shoes? HELLO WHY DO WE NOT HAVE THOSE. I’m wearing size small and it’s perfect. It’s not clingy, and has just enough room for the bump. 

It’s flattering and you don’t have to worry about showing all your goods when you bend over 397 times a day to pick up the same toys off the floor. 

Why have I waited so long to switch out to a new watch band?? I think I might have a new shopping obsession. It’s such an inexpensive and fun way to totally switch up your look. I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on this leopard watch band and it might be the best $10 I’ve spent.

Even if I can’t totally rock the cropped sweater trend at the moment, I do love it in real life and I really wish I would’ve worn this adorable cropped sweater before the bump took over. (And I’m not saying that I can’t wear a cropped sweater bc of my bump…it’s more about what’s going on in the back end area, if you know what I mean. I’m more comfy if the booty is covered at the moment.) I sized up to a medium so it’s a slouchier fit.

It’s not itchy, which I’m very picky about. (That’s punny.) This sweater would be SO cute with denim cut offs and kicks for a spring or summer night.

OK, I was dreading trying on these high-waisted leggings. The whole non-maternity and size small thing just didn’t feel that inviting. But guess what?? They are SO comfy and actually fit the bump. How on earth are they only $18?? This is a big statement, but I *think* I like them more than my Zella go-to leggings. They come in 6 colors and are sold out in some of them, but they’re in stock in this green color. I’ll keep an eye out for restocks in black! 

I know, it’s almost spring. But, if you live in the midwest, we probs have about 3 months left of winter. 😉 I ordered this wrap coat in November and I can’t believe I haven’t shared it yet. It’s from the J.Crew Mercantile line, which you def need to check out if you haven’t yet. It’s J.Crew’s lower priced line for Amazon Fashion, but don’t let the lower prices fool you. Everything I’ve ordered from the line is still top quality and caaaa-uute. 

I needed a coat that I could dress up and down, and this one is perfect for that.

I ordered this cardigan in December and have been wearing it nonstop since! It reminds me of the quality of a Madewell cardigan, at a fraction of the price. It comes in 5 colors. I’m wearing size small. 

MISSES

OK, this A-line dress was a MISS for me. I personally don’t like an A line fit on me, so I should’ve known better. But, if you do like that silhouette, you might just love this dress. The color is gorgeous and you can’t go wrong with $22. 

OK, obvs the cardigan is a HIT and it did make me like the dress better. But, it’s still going back.

This just proves that all sweatshirt dresses are not created equal. This one is just too boxy for me and does nothing to flatter the bump. There’s too much material in the back – I literally feel like I’m wearing a potato sack. I ordered a small. Back it goes.
