Gender Reveal: It’s A….

Mama

March 4, 2019

Happy Monday and gender reveal day! 🙂

I’ve gotten a lot of questions about whether we know what we’re having and yes – we’ve known for a few weeks! I guess that’s the benefit of being older than 35 and pregnant. You get to do genetic testing around 10 weeks, which also is a gender reveal.

OK, no more waiting…

It’s a BOY!

We are over the moon excited! Honestly, we would have been just as happy with a girl (and actually, I’m a bit scared of a boy because it’s been all girl over here for the last 5 years), but as soon as we found out it’s a boy, it just felt…right. Our little guy will complete our family in the most wonderful way and we can’t wait to meet him in September.

I was a little worried that H wasn’t going to be psyched because she’s been saying she wants another little sister, but it makes my heart SO happy that she is probably the most excited of anyone. She keeps kissing my tummy and talking to her baby brother. Swoon.

OK and now…HELP!

Please leave me all of your baby boy tips and any boy insight you have. I need my mama tribe! 🙂

Thank you for all of the love you’ve sent our family! We truly appreciate it.

XO

Congratulations! I have 2 of each gender and they couldn’t be more different. I do know boys are easier attitude wise and need lots of hugs. Boys are more physical but less drama!!! Good luck

2 of each! You are a superwoman! I’ve been hearing boys can be more snuggly, which I love. And you gotta love less drama 🙂 Thanks, mama! xo

  2. Ann DeLucenay says:

Congrats!! You will love having a boy in the mix! ???

  3. Christine says:

I have two little boys (4 &1) and #3 on the way also in September! Before I had kids, I told everyone I wanted girls. But now that they are here, I am team boy all the way! They are rough and tumble, and oooooooh so very sweet. They live hard and they love hard… especially their mama! They are always sticky, and bruised up from who knows where, and very loud, but I wouldn’t trade them for the world. You are going to LOVE having a boy!!! Congratulations!!!

  4. Lisa says:

Congrats!!! ? I have 2 girls then my baby boy!! It is wonderful!! ?

  5. Congrats! I am the opposite – we were boy boy girl – and while I was nervous to switch gears entirely, my best advice is to just plan for an individual, regardless of gender. You will be great with a little boy 🙂

  6. Cheryl says:

Congrats! I’m also 38 and pregnant with #3. First two were girls and we are going to have a baby boy in August! Everyone keeps telling me there’s nothing better than a momma and her boy, we will see!!

  7. Shay says:

We just had our baby boy in December after two girls too!! I was scared too because both of my girls are pretty girly girl so it’s all the girl things!! But I tell you, there is just something about a sweet baby boy. I couldn’t imagine it any different!!! Congrats to you and your sweet family!!

  8. Mary says:

Congrats! We have a girl and a boy. People will tell you boys are loud and rough and tumble, but I know that you know those are just stereotypes. Like a previous comment said, prepare for an individual. Our little guy, who is now 6 and in kindergarten, is sweet and gentle and calm (in the best way possible). He is my little snuggler (still) and I am soaking it up for as long as I can! Boy or girl, it is a new little person to love! So happy for you!

  9. Michelle says:

Congratulations! I have two boys and I can attest they are both lovers!! My best advice is to keep his penis covered during diaper changes. My husband and I both learned that the not so pleasant way! ?

  10. Jessica says:

I have 3 boys and 2 girls and little boys LOVE their mamas! Enjoy! I will say that at our house the younger years are much easier with boys but they are definitely more physical!

  11. SB says:

Boys are the best. My son is the best snuggler and gives out of this world hugs! He’s also a softy…other day as I’m wiping his tush he hugs my legs and says “I love you mama”. I’m turning 38 in a month and my 2nd boy will be here in September (hoping for August though to make the school cut off, lol)

  12. Brooke says:

Congratulations! I have one of each! I had to learn to be much quicker with the diaper changes when my son was born!!!

  13. Rachel Wolken says:

I’m So extremely happy for you Suzanne!!!!!!!! We have 2 girls right now and are contemplating another in awhile…. like a few years!!! I’m so extremely excited for you and to watch your journey (not creepyingly though)
    ♥️, Rachel
