Happy Monday, sweet friends!
I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Ours was pretty lazy; although, I did get my hair cut and colored on Saturday, which was so long overdue. I kind of feel like a new woman.
Alright, I promised more fitness posts in 2019, so why not start with my current fitness routine?? Also, just to keep it honest – I had planned on having fancy schmancy photos shot for this post, but it didn’t work out. Normally, I would delay the post until I can get the photos, but with this one I thought, hey, why not just share the real life photos (which 9 times out of 10 is going to be a mirror selfie)?
OK, that’s all for today! (Oh and head to the bottom of the post for my current fitness favorites.)
I hope you guys have a wonderful day!

HIIT/TREADMILL CLASS – 3x A WEEK
If you live in Chicagoland, you’ve probably heard of SHRED415. Similar to Barry’s Bootcamp and Orange Theory, it’s a mixed treadmill/HIIT 60 minute class (generally broken up in 4 – 15 min sections) and you guys, it’s THE best workout I’ve ever had. I started going in April 2017, just a few months after giving birth to my 2nd daughter. I was 30 pounds heavier than normal, and I needed to get moving. It was slow and steady, but over the next couple months I worked up to twice a week. Then, after about a year, I started going 3x a week and haven’t looked back.
If you’re looking for a huge kick in the ass, find a class near you. Or, google Tabata HIIT treadmill workouts and you’ll find a ton that you can do. Hands down, the treadmill is THE toughest part of the workout and is where you quickly will shed the extra pounds.

PELOTON – 1x A WEEK
My husband has always been a big mountain biker and bikes a lot during the summer. Since winter in Chicago is brutal and doesn’t allow for much biking, last winter we decided to get the Peloton. Even though it was “for my husband,” I ended up using it more than he did. Because Shred takes up most of my workout time, I generally hop on the Peloton every Sunday morning for a quick workout. It’s an awesome workout in 45 minutes, and the time flies by. My favorite instructor is Robin Arzon – she’s totally badass, plays amazing music and her workouts are tough.

YOGA – 2x A WEEK
I’ve shared my love for yoga on here before, and the love affair continues. For me, yoga has always been about listening to and taking care of my body. I put my body through a lot, and it hasn’t failed me yet. Yoga is my “thank you” to my body. It sounds cheesy, but it’s true. I try to do yoga twice a week. It’s nothing fancy and normally I fit it in before the girls wake up. I throw my mat down in my home office, push play on a Yoga With Adriene video and all is well.

You are so sweet – thank you, Kerianne!
Love this post! Thank you for sharing! I just started Orange Theory, they opened one in Appleton Wisconsin and I absolutely love it! I will be shopping your links later. 😉
Thank you so much for the support, Rebecca! That’s awesome – I have heard great things about Orange Theory! xo
Love the balance of your routine! I attended my first yoga class in over a year for change of pace from what I’ve been doing lately at the gym and it was such a nice refresher of how great yoga is. Going to try to go at least, hopefully twice, a week moving forward since it really does so much for my MIND (as well as body).
Shred415 shoutout! I’m an instructor at the St. Louis Shred, and I know firsthand how effective our workouts can be. Our fitness routines are very similar also! Thanks for sharing with us! Love your blog! Keep it coming ?
I love Yoga with Adriene!!!
You look GREAT! I just had my first Barry Bootcamp class yesterday and I am realizing it would be really great for me to do this at least once a week. When I go into the gym on my lifting routine right now but it’s not enough and I gotta improve upon my routine. Thanks for the motivation! Love surrounding myself with fitness lovers.
Keep it up!
