Hi, friends! OK. I think I’ve finally recovered from our weekend in Chicago. It’s not that we went crazy, but you guys. Compared to my daily life of being in bed by 9pm every night, we definitely let our hair down.
If you’re new to reading, you might be wondering…WAIT a second. I thought she lives in Chicago? Well, technically I live in the North Shore of Chicago. So, even though we are less than 20 miles from the city, we don’t go there much. I blame the kids.
We had a party at the Adler Planetarium Friday night and then tickets to see Ray LaMontagne at Northerly Island Saturday night.
The highlight of our whole weekend was spontaneously riding Divy bikes back to our hotel when we couldn’t get an Uber after the party Friday night. You guys. I wish I had photos of it. My guy dressed to the nines, me in my dress (and barefoot), riding bikes through the city and laughing our asses off. SO MUCH FUN.
It was a whirlwind couple of days and even though we paid for it on Sunday, it was so worth it.
I hope you guys enjoy!
XO

Cute + casual for the drive into the city.

We got dressed up! So much for to be on a fancy date with my guy. We went to a private party at the Adler Planetarium and it was amazing. If you haven’t been there to watch the star show, I highly recommend it. Amazing. (Even if it did make me a little dizzy.)

Up early Saturday morning for a lakeshore run that turned into a brisk walk…to get donuts and coffee at Stan’s Donuts.

A quick change of shoes into my comfy slides to head back to my old stomping grounds, Bloomingdale’s. I was an executive there for years and it’s always so weird to go back. Everything has changed and each time I see less familiar faces.

You guys. We don’t normally splurge like this. But we decided to celebrate our anniversary and my birthday, so we headed to Gucci. 🙂

And a Ray LaMontagne show to cap off our weekend. (Also. You’d never know I was posing by the port-o-potties.) For some reason it won’t let me include my floral shorts in the widget, so just click here. PS – they’re on sale for $11. Wearing a small.

Thanks to this guy for a wonderful weekend… <3

So cute, but you know we’re all dying to know what’s in the Gucci bags ?
Haha, I’ll share soon! Spoiler alert: the cutest bag ever 😉
