Spring Shoes

Looks, Spring

April 16, 2018

Happy Monday, friends! This weekend felt more like December in Chicago, but I’ve decided that even if it’s winter outside, it’s spring on the blog. So, that means peace out Uggs and helllloooooo to the cuuuutest spring shoes ever.

Is there a woman alive who doesn’t love shoes? I remember playing in my mom’s closet when I was little, picking out her tallest heels and and wobbling around the house, feeling like a princess. And then falling on my tush.

In junior high, I cut out platforms and pumps and boots from Vogue and created a walking line of shoes around the top of my room. The shoes came to life and gave my 13 year old self some major fashion inspiration. (And I’m still trying to figure out some of my early fashion choices….)

These days, my love for shoes still runs deep. And while most of my days are spent in cute sneakers, I’ve been breaking out of my comfort zone and wearing more cute flats lately. Of course, the heels are reserved for date nights. 🙂

That’s it for today, friends! I’ve got a lot in store this week, so stay tuned…

Slingback flats

Steven by Steve Madden Women’s Lourdes Slingback Flats

The newest addition to my shoe family, these flats are my current favorites. I’ve been trying to get out of my sneaker comfort zone and wear these more. Now, if the weather would just cooperate. They run true to size and also come in black and white. For some reason, I’m also really loving the white ones…

Espadrille wedges

MARC FISHER LTD ‘Adalyn’ Espadrille Wedge Sandal

I ordered these wedges last spring and didn’t wear them nearly enough. I blame that whole postpartum thing. You know, baby spit up and wedges don’t really go together. But now, I broke them out again and can’t wear to wear them this spring. If it comes.

Pink New balance sneakers

New Balance 220 Sneakers

I’ve never met a pair of New Balance that I didn’t love. This pair is more narrow than my other pairs, but I’d say they still run true to size. And you guys. They’re pink. Done.

Nude heels

Steve Madden Women’s Stecy Sandals

When you want to focus to be on the dress, these are the heels. Or, if you want your legs to look long, even if they’re not. (ME.) These heels are closet staples for any season and are totally timeless. AND they’re less than $80 and come in a TON of colors.

Pink bow heels

Linea Paolo Crissy Bow Pump

This was my most girly shoe purchase ever and I’m not mad about it one bit. These flats are so pretty and make me feel like a lady. If you work in an office, I highly recommend adding them to your collection. They come in 5 colors and run small. I sized up.

Pink pumps

MICHAEL Michael Kors Dorothy Flex Pump

Nothing says spring like pink pumps, right? (I mean, other than rain boots.) I love these with a pretty spring dress or boyfriend jeans and a blazer. You can’t go wrong with a great pair of pumps and these come in so many colors.

I remember the shoes on your bedroom wall! 🙂 How fun that you’ve made them come to life 20 years later! Love your shoe picks … I might have to get those New Balance!
