Summer Sweater Weather + All The Feels

May 15, 2017

Hi, friends! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and Mother’s Day!

It was my first Mother’s Day as a mama of two and I’ve gotta say, I felt all the feelings all day long.

We didn’t do anything super special, but the day was pretty perfect. A slow morning with a lot of coffee, beach time, lunch, a long run with the Mister and hamburgers on the grill. Even better, my mom was able to come and spend the day with us. If that’s not living life, I’m not sure what is…

The weather is finally starting to turn here in Chicagoland and it almost feels as if summer could be on its way. I mean, it’s still 50 degrees and chilly, but the sun is out and it looks warm. I’ll take it.

Girrrrrl, lets talk about my summer sweater. I love a neutral sweater. Look in my closet and it’s filled with off white, ivory, cream and beige sweaters. So, why deny myself my one true love and limit my white sweaters to the fall and winter?

Give me a nice summer sweater and I’m a happy girl. (I’ve linked more summer sweaters at the bottom of the post. I just ordered this one (on sale!) and this is next on my list.)

This open knit sweater is just perfect for cooler summer days paired with your favorite denim, or at the beach over your bikini. And it’s currently on sale for less than $45!

(A note about sizing: I’m wanted a flowy fit, so I ordered a small. The fit is a bit boxy and perfect for this postpartum mama (or anyone who wants to eat brunch with abandon), but if you want a snugger fit, I would size down.)

My gladiator sandals are from last year, but I’ve linked some similar pairs in the widget below. I love these and these are such a steal at less than $25

(Let’s get real: We went to brunch after these photos and baby girl spit up on me. My pretty gray jeans were splattered with breast milk and it looked like I soiled myself. But hey, at least we captured the moment with these photos.)

Thanks for stopping by, sweet friends.
