Hi, sweet friends! I’m so excited to start sharing My Kind Of Sweet Home posts again. We’ve been in our home for more than 2 years and I’m always struck at how long it takes to make a house a home. If you’re in the process of decorating a new house, my biggest piece of advice is to take your time. Live in the space for awhile before you make any big decisions about furniture. Our family room is the perfect example of how a room can come together slowly, layer by layer, and how small changes can really make a big difference.
Here are a few family room updates I made last week…

Finally! This wall has been bare for 2+ years and I finally decided what to do with it. I kept going back between art and a gallery wall, but when I spotted these frames I knew they were perfect for this space.

The kids have been loving these poufs even more than I do. (Also the fact that those tags are showing is killing me, but it’s currently too dark to reshoot these photos, so…)
I still need to choose drapes, but I can’t find the right ones, so it might be like 4 more years. 😉
Can you tell me what wall color this is? Love it!
Yes! It’s Benjamin Moore Paper White. The perfect white with just a hint of gray.
