My Current Workout Routine + Fitness Favorites

Hi, sweet friends! I’m excited to share my current workout routine and fitness favorites with you.

I get asked often what I do for fitness and how I fit it in with the crazy schedule of #momlife. My simple answer? Make it priority. I have help with the kids a few days a week, and I maximize that time to fit in a workout before I work.

Sometimes, fitting in my workout means I’m running outside in 90 degree heat at 2pm. Not ideal, but way better than not taking the time for myself and to sweat.

I schedule my workouts and write them down in my planner. Then, I schedule everything AROUND them. They’re non-negotiable.

I don’t wait for motivation. Nike was on to something, you guys. Just Do It. I swear, I don’t even know if motivation is a thing. I feel motivated for a total of like 30 minutes each month. I don’t wait for motivation to propel me, because it won’t. I just do it.

I’m a huge fan a visualization. I can actually see myself putting on my sports bra and leggings. Lacing up my shoes. Driving to Shred. Getting out of my car. Stepping onto the treadmill. It tricks my brain into thinking it’s already happened. So for me, it takes the guesswork out of it. It’s a given.

Alo Yoga leggings, sports bra and tank

MY CURRENT WORKOUT ROUTINE

I’m a creature of habit, so I like to have a consistent workout routine. Here’s what it looks like right now:

MONDAY | Shred415. If you know me, you know I love love love Shred. It’s half treadmill and half HIIT + weights on the floor. The best overall workout ever.

TUESDAY | Hot warrior yoga. This is a class at Lifetime and if you get the chance to try it, I highly recommend it. It’s yoga with light weights and some light cardio. It’s so hot and sweaty and HARD.

WEDNESDAY | Shred415. I try to do Shred 3 times a week, but never more.

THURSDAY | Peloton run. If I can get up early enough to fit this in before The Mister goes to work, I’ll run on our Peloton tread.

FRIDAY | Rest/ stroller walk. This is my day to spend with Gray, so it all depends on our plans. Generally, I’ll walk him to the park.

SATURDAY | Shred415. I love an early Saturday Shred class. The Mister is so supportive and totally rocks the #dadlife.

SUNDAY | Yoga at home. My time to reset. I like to do a Peloton yoga class.
