Spring At Home With MacKenzie-Childs

My Kind Of Sweet Home

April 27, 2020

Thank you to Mac-Kenzie Childs for sponsoring this home post. All opinions are my own. Post contains affiliated links.

Hi, sweet friends!

I’m so excited to bring you more of one of my favorite home finds: MacKenzie-Childs

First though, a little background: In February, I was invited to spend a day with the MacKenzie-Childs team in Chicago. It was a day filled with networking, creating, flower arranging, ceramic painting and eating, all while meeting the MacKenzie-Childs team and learning about the brand.

Side note: It was a pinch me moment, for sure. I felt, and still do, so grateful that this is my job and that I get to spend time with inspiring people and learn new things, all while growing my business. Thank you to all of you who make this whole thing possible. For real.

OK, back to it.

The more I learned about the story of MacKenzie-Childs, the deeper in love I fell. Based in Aurora, NY and founded in 1983, they are best known for their hand-painted enamelware and stunning attention to detail.

If you’ve been around here for more than 3 minutes, chances are you know my love of black and white. So, it should come as no surprise that I have fallen in love with MacKenzie-Childs Courtly Check. You will see a lot of it sprinkled throughout my home and in this post.

I am so excited to continue to add to my growing collection of MacKenzie-Childs pieces. I hope this post inspires you to do the same…

OUR BALCONY

One of my favorite things about our new home is the balcony off the kitchen. It’s where we spend so much of our time – coffee in the morning, picnics for lunch and dance parties where my girls pretend the balcony is a stage.

Can we talk about this rug? I knew I wanted an outdoor rug that is durable, but stylish and I fell in love with this one. It hides the trail of crumbs that kids leave, and it withstands the elements of a Midwest spring.

Right away, I knew I had to grab that famous tea pot. I love the fun little pop it gives our mostly white kitchen.

THE NOOK

Breaking news: I don’t entertain very often. (And I don’t just mean during a worldwide pandemic.) I know. You’re shocked. But, that doesn’t mean I don’t want pretty servingware and pieces on my table.
