Summer Hair Must Haves

Beauty, Hair

July 30, 2019

Thank you to Walmart for sponsoring this ” Summer Hair” post. All opinions are mine.

Happy Tuesday, sweet friends! One of the question I get asked the most is about my favorite hair products, and I’m so excited to be partnering with Walmart and their Here For Every Beauty Campaign to share my summer hair must haves.

Through its new campaign, Walmart is celebrating individuality and inclusivity like never before, while helping each and every woman find her own beauty. So, whether you’re into skincare, makeup, or haircare, Walmart is your one stop shop to help you feel and look your best.

These days, at 34 weeks pregnant, my makeup routine is almost nonexistent. (Seriously, I can’t remember the last time I wore mascara.) But, one thing that I will also take care of is my hair. I’ve worked hard (I mean, my girl Lyndsey at the salon has worked hard) to get my color just right, and I make sure to take the steps I can at home to take care of it.

Summer can wreak havoc on my hair – the pool, the sun, the dry scalp – and today I’m sharing a few summer hair must haves that I’ve been using and loving. I hope you enjoy!

XO

(Also, here’s a peek inside our new Master Bathroom! As you can see, we haven’t moved in yet, but I couldn’t pass up a chance to scoot over there to shoot these photos.)

It’s no wonder this It’s A 10 leave-in conditioner gets rave reviews. Since I highlight my hair, it can sometimes feel gummy or dry after I wash it, especially in the summer. This has been a lifesaver. It’s specifically for color-treated hair, and helps preserve my highlights. A little goes a long way, so I don’t use much at all.

As a busy mama, dry shampoo is a no-brainer. This Batiste Dry Shampoo is AMAZING. It smells like vacation, doesn’t dry out my hair and gives it the life it needs when I haven’t washed it in a few days. And if you’re not into the tropical scent, check out all of the other options. So good.

OK. Remember all of that dry shampoo I use?? This Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Special Shampoo is an absolute must for when I actually do wash my hair. It not only feels and smells incredible (like peppermint!), but it works wonderfully to gently remove the product build up that’s in my hair. And, it helps with dry scalp, too.

Of course, I couldn’t share a summer hair must haves post without sharing my OG favorite, this Dove Dry Shampoo. I like the Volume and Fullness version – it’s great to help lift my fine hair and give it just enough volume without weighing it down. I use this product year round.
