We made it.
This quote about parenting gets me through just about every week. By Friday, my fuse is pretty short. And most of the time, I’m hard on myself about it. That’s when I have to take inventory: are my expectations of my little one too high? (Yes. She’s 4.) Are my expectations of myself too high? (Yes. I’m tired and I need more coffee.)
I’m going to raise my voice at my kids and chances are I’m going to regret it 4.7 seconds later. Fine. That’s part of the gig, right? I’m learning right along with my girls, and I’ll screw up every single day. And guess what? It’s OK.
They feel loved. We laugh a whole lot. We have midday kitchen dance parties. We talk like robots. And sometimes I lose my shit.
Go easy on yourself today, mamas. (And try talking like a robot with your kids. It’s actually really fun. For like 10 minutes.)

I stopped into Athleta yesterday and picked up some new fall pieces. This sweater is SO gorgeous. I got it in the Auberge Heather color and it’s fall perfection. Comfy + cute sports bras are hard to find, but this one fits the bill. I chose the cinnamon color. So pretty.
