Fall Skin Care Favorites

Beauty, Skincare

October 23, 2018

Happy Tuesday, sweet friends! As soon as the temps drop, I start to focus more on skin care. Am I the only one who’s skin is more problematic in the fall and winter?

Overall my skin is pretty normal, but as soon as fall hits, I start my skin starts to get dry and patchy. I’ve tried SO many products over the past couple of years. (Throw a few pregnancies in there and that’ll really make your skin go crazy.)

A good test to see which skin care products you love the most? Go on a trip. On our recent trip to Miraval, I might’ve packed my entire closet, but I only took my tried and true skin care products.

I shared my favorite winter skin care products last year, and I still use and love all of those products. Those are the heavy hitters. They are the skin care products that I use when the air hurts and my skin needs extra love.

Also, speaking of skin care. If you’ve followed along for awhile, you know that I’m a huge fan of Beautycounter. If you’re looking for safe, effective beauty and skin care, you need to try it. I can’t say enough good about it. (Did you see? I shared my top 5 Beautycounter products a few months ago, which includes some beauty finds.)

If you’ve never tried Beautycounter and you’re not sure where to start, enter: this Best Of Beautycounter set. It includes 4 of Beautycounter’s best sellers: The Cleansing Balm, Countermatch Adaptive Moisture Lotion, No. 1 Brightening Facial Oil and No. 3 Balancing Facial Mask

Also, Beautycounter holiday sets are here! They sold out quickly last year, so if you’re thinking of buying, don’t wait. I’ll be scooping up this Mini Lip Gloss Vault and this Shimmer & Shine Body set.

Alright, that’s it for today!

(I’ll be sharing more about all of these products on my Instagram Stories today, so be sure to stop by…)

Fall skin care favorites, beauty counter products

Beautycounter Overnight Resurfacing Peel | Charlotte Tilbury Charlotte’s Magic Cream (c/o) | Beautycounter No. 3 Balancing Facial Oil | Jo Malone Orange Blossom Body Lotion

I started using the new Beautycounter Overnight Resurfacing Peel about a month ago and I’m a fan. It doesn’t peel, so the name is a bit misleading, but it sure does resurface my skin. I use it every couple of nights and when I wake up, my skin feels smoother and looks brighter. It tingles a little when I put it on, which I love because I can feel it working. It also smells amazing.

Charlotte Tilbury sent me this Charlotte Tilbury Charlotte’s Magic Cream and when I tell you it’s up there with La Mer, I’m for REAL. I’ve been using it every morning before my makeup and it’s just the right amount of moisture for fall. It feels so luxurious and I’m obsessed.

Before I started using this Beautycounter No. 3 Balancing Facial Oil, I was afraid of facial oil. I hadn’t tried it before, but I couldn’t figure out how it wouldn’t plug every pore in my face and cause breakouts. This was my first facial oil and I’ve used it regularly since I got it last year. (If you want to try a facial oil, but you’re not sure where to start, this Glow & Go Mini Oils set is the perfect place to start.)

This Jo Malone Orange Blossom Body Lotion has been in the rotation for years. I’ve never tried anything from Jo Malone that I haven’t liked. It’s not heavy, so I use this in summer and fall. I break out this Beautycounter Body Butter when winter hits. It’s hands down the best body lotion I’ve tried.

Epicuren Discovery Bulgarian Rose Otto serum  emerginC – D-Red Nighttime Balm | Epicuren Skin Conditioner Enzyme Toner

Yep, I added to my skin care favorites while I was at Miraval. I couldn’t help it.

You guys. I’m ashamed to admit it, but I need to tell you why I bought this Epicuren Discovery Bulgarian Rose Otto serumI saw that Kim Kardashian called it her favorite skin care product, so I wanted to try it. I’m not proud of it. No, I don’t want to look like Kim K. But, if you look past the fillers and fake, her skin does look pretty damn good. And, guess what? She knows what she’s talking about. If you’re looking for something to combat dry, tired skin, this is for you. A little goes a long way, so try not to let the price scare you. It’s thicker than any other facial oil I’ve tried, but somehow it doesn’t feel greasy. It seeps into my skin and makes it glow. Oh, and the rose smell is insanely good.

Since having my second baby girl, I’ve been battling redness in my skin. I knew I wanted to find something to help combat it, so I tried emerginC – D-Red Nighttime BalmI love its whipped texture and it doesn’t feel heavy on my skin. I’ve been using it at night and have seen some improvement in the redness.

I was skeptical of this Epicuren Skin Conditioner Enzyme Toner because the toner bad has been set high by my Koh Gen Do Cleansing Spa Water  (which I still use every night and will forever and ever). I’ve been using it to clean and tone my skin before I put on my rose serum. It makes my skin feel very clean and refreshed. I’m loving it.
