Hi, sweet friends! I braved the craziness of the Nordstrom Anniversary Early Access Sale at Old Orchard and…WHOA. It was insane. You guys. The sale is better this year than it was last year, and I wasn’t even able to try everything on that I wanted to because I kept getting sidetracked by a lot of cuuuuute finds. (See below.)
I will go back to try on activewear, dresses + workwear, shoes and handbags, but for now…here is a HUGE round up of all the casual every day staples you need for fall. I included which shoes I would wear with each look. I’ve ordered a couple pairs and I’m anxiously awaiting their arrival…
Most were hits, but there are some misses, too. And yes – I’ve included sizing info for everything!
Stop by my Instagram Friday to see what Nordstrom Anniversary Sale picks came home with me. I’ll be doing a huge try-on session there, too.
Thank you, thank you for all of your support and for letting me share my picks with you!
Oh, and THANK YOU for coming up to me at Nordstrom to say hi! I love meeting you guys in real life. It means so much to me.
Happy shopping!
XO

I’ve never met a stripe I didn’t like. This $11 tee is good for any season (on its own now and layered under this jacket in fall). It runs big, so be sure to size down. This long sleeve tee comes in a ton of colors and will be on repeat all year long…
Quite possibly my most favorite outfit to date. This tee was definitely NOT on my list, but when I put it on, well… #sorryhusband And I can wear these sweatpants in public, which means they definitely came home with me.
I have a huge thing for colorful stripes lately and as soon as I saw this striped tee, I knew I had to have it. It’s the perfect colorful touch to the neutrals I LIVE in. In past years, I passed on this cashmere cardigan last year, but this year I decided to go for it. I LOVE IT and you’ll see it A LOT around here as soon as it gets cooler out. These high rise jeans are “cropped,” but I would pass on them unless you’re 5’9″ or taller. They hit me in a weird spot and just looked…frumpy.
You guys. I grabbed this cardigan off the rack thinking there’s no way I would get it, but I wanted to see how it would look styled with this striped shirt. Lo and behold, I LOVED IT and it came home with me. As much as I want you to shop online (wink, wink), there really is nothing like getting in the store to see the goods in person.
No, I didn’t get this tee, but HOW CUTE IS IT??
I LOVE this ruffle sweater. It didn’t come home with me because I really don’t need another sweater. BUT. I might have to go back and get it… I thought it was going to be itchy and it’s not at all. It does run big, so unless you want that oversized look, I would size down. I’m wearing an XS.
I’ve been looking for the perfect pair of boyfriend jeans, and I’ve found them. These are super comfy and perfectly cropped to rock the cutest pair of booties this fall. They do run big (I’m wearing size 26 in this photo and I’m exchanging them for a smaller size.) I love how relaxed they are and that there’s no distressing, which is hard to find with boyfriend jeans.
I’m regretting that this bell sleeve top didn’t come home with me. If I dream about it tonight, I’ll be ordering it first thing in the morning. It’s SO comfortable and a little stretchy. Would look chic with these classic black pants and these black OTK boots.
The moto jacket is here to stay and this one is SO PRETTY. This color is even prettier in person and easily dressed up or down. Wear it over this floral dress on a date night or throw it on with your favorite pair of jeans.
The perfect date night top. (Please excuse the dirty mirror.) If you’re in between sizes, size down. I’m wearing an XS. I also love it dressed down with these booties.
