Happy Thursday, friends! These summer(ish) days are long, but whoa do they fly by. I can’t believe it’s already almost Friday. Where did this week go? Lately, I’ve been trying to share my favorite beauty finds. Granted, I add to my closet more often than I add to my makeup bag (OBVS), but here are my recent beauty buys and some thoughts on each.

This has been one of my favorite summer scents for years. I’m not sure how they did it, but somehow it smells exactly like a day at the beach, which makes me happy to the bottom of my sandy soul. It’s very light and not at all overpowering. Perfect for day or night, you will LOVE it. I’ve been thinking of adding the lotion to the mix, too.
OUAI WAVE SPRAY + TEXTURIZING HAIR SPRAY
I took this wave spray to the beach last month and it was the only hair styling product I needed. A little goes a long way and it creates the perfect easy, beachy waves. I have tried using it when my hair was damp, but I liked the results better when I lightly sprayed it on after I dried and styled my hair. I did find that if I used too much, my hair would fall flat and feel greasy. So, a couple of sprays is all you need. I have fine hair, but a lot of it, so if you have thin hair, it may not be the best product for you.
Back in the day, I LOVED hair spray. Too much. You know those days, right? Well, I haven’t used hair spray in years, but I decided to give this texturizing hair spray a try. I love it. It doesn’t leave my hair feeling sticky, and it’s just the right amount of hold. And it smells amazing.
I’ve been wanting a good makeup brush set for awhile, but I can never bring myself to pay an arm and a leg. (Shoes, on the other hand…) This brush set from Sephora is less than $75 and has everything I need. I’ve been using them for a couple of months and love them.
URBAN DECAY PERVERSION MASCARA + GIORGIO ARMANI EYELINER
Mama needs a good mascara, and I’m always on the hunt. While I still use and love my Beautycounter Volumizing Mascara, I wanted to give this Urban Decay mascara a try. It’s amazing. It doesn’t clump and makes my lashes long and voluminous. A lot of the reviews say it smudges easily, which it does right after you put it on. It takes a little time to dry, but once it’s dry, I haven’t noticed it smudging at all.
OK, I haven’t ever used a liquid eyeliner because I wear contacts and I’m never quite sure how that will work. So, I didn’t have high hopes when I tried this Giorgio Armani Eyeliner. You guys. I love it. But, probably not for the reason you think. I am not down with the cat eye winged look on the daily. For date night, YES. But, every day, I’m not into it. This eyeliner would be perfect to create that look. The tip is very easy to use. So, why do I like it? Because I can draw a super thin line on my upper eyelid and smudge it just a bit, and it stays there ALL day. I don’t use it on my bottom lash line.
VINTNER’S DAUGHTER ACTIVE BOTANICAL SERUM
Real talk: this serum was a late night splurge (I blame sleep deprivation), and in the morning I regretted it. (No, alcohol was not involved.) YOU GUYS. I need to make midnight impulse purchases more often. This little wonder is AMAZING. It smells like heaven and it makes my skin feel like satin. I use it every single night. LOVE.
(My favorite Beautycounter lip balm is included in the featured image because I feel like I buy one of these bad boys every couple of months. It’s like lotion for your lips. So good.)
