Taking a break from my normal Friday Favorites because Mother’s Day is Sunday, so obviously it’s fitting that this is a Mother’s Day post.
But you guys, there’s a problem.
I just can’t write about my mom. I just can’t. I don’t know how to put all the right words in the right order to accurately describe who my mom is.
Actually, that’s not true.
I can tell you who she is. (Remember when I tried, here?) I can fill this page with adjectives and a whole lot of love and you would begin to get a good idea of just how remarkable she is.
But I just can’t describe who she is TO ME.
I’m pretty sure I will live all of my days not being able to pinpoint exactly how to put the love and appreciation I have for my mom into words.
Maybe one day I will try. But for today, I’ll show you some of my favorites photos of us together. From climbing mountains, to running races in the rain, to watching her walk with my daughter on the beach.
Happy Mother’s Day, Mom. When I grow up, I want to be just like you.

I feel you – thinking of writing to my mom or about my mom makes me tear up. I am not sure there are words. Hugs to you and your pretty mama! Happy Mother’s Day!
It’s so hard! Thank you, Kim!
I really love this. It’s so true about thinking about my mom means TO ME. I get all emotional thinking about it.
On a side note, I love all your photos and it looks like you and your mama ran together? That’s fun!
Thank you, Gloryanna! Yes, we have run a lot of races together. One of the many things we love to do 🙂
This is so sweet! The beauty of your relationship shines through in these photos. Happy Mother’s Day to you and your mom! <3
That means a lot. Thank you, mama! I hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day! xo
Love this post! It’s hard to say what we really want to when we are writing to someone we look up to!
So true. Thanks, mama!
Lovely post. I’ve always admired the relationship you had with your mom … it was something I didn’t have growing up. We’re close now, but it took a long time. Your mom is amazing, there’s no doubt about it. I have always admired her and am glad to have known her.
Thank you, lady. I’m so glad you’re close with your mom now. It’s such a special relationship. xo
