The Good Ol’ Classics

It’s May! How is that even possible? Time is flying by and I’m not that ok with it. Ok, time to talk about the classics…

If you can’t tell by now, I’m not super into trends. Sure, I’ll play around with accessories, shoes and bags. But overall, I like to keep my style pretty classic. Most of the clothes I feature on the blog are tried and true. They’re pieces that I’ve lived in and loved throughout the years, and I want to share the wealth because I think you’ll love them, too.

I bought this jacket from J Crew  5 years ago, and I wear it ALL THE TIME. It’s a 3 season jacket (and maybe even 4, if you live in Chicago). It’s made from water-resistant waxed cotton, which means it’s super durable and will stand up to gross spring weather. It’s been a total staple in my closet. (And J Crew calls it the “quintessential cool-girl jacket, so there you go.)

J Crew is the perfect place to find classics. Some of the pieces can get pretty pricey, but they often have great sales. Also, I love J Crew Factory. It’s my go-to place for tees, denim shorts + jewelry. Cus mama likes a deal. 

If you follow me on Insta, you’ve witnessed my love for the new + updated Converse kicks. Well, the love fest continues. If you’ve loved your Chucks for years but haven’t tried this updated, more feminine version, it’s time. You will LOVE them. And, they slip on. YES.

I’m just not sure you can get more classic than a white tee + denim. And a Yorkie. <3
