Clean Slate: Cozy Layers

January 25, 2016

I had a slight glimpse of Spring this weekend (since it was above 30 in the Chicagoland area) and I loved it. While I’m not fooled into thinking this is the start of Spring and know there are likely many more frigid days ahead, there was just something in the air this weekend. Hope. We know spring is coming eventually, and with it will come new blooms, fresh air, and a clean slate.

And cozy layers. I’ve been living in this sweater lately (remember it here?) and I’ve found the perfect, most comfy tee to wear underneath it. Yes, you guessed it: they’re both on sale.

I’m never giving up my mega flares. Any chance for my short, little legs to look longer, I’ll take. I paired these flares with higher heels than I would normally wear. Flares + heels = perfection.

Happy Monday, sweet people. Here’s to a week filled with hope, cozy layers and everything sweet.

XO

I love how you styled your flares! I have some denim flares hiding in my closet from ages ago…perhaps I should pull those out! You’ve given me some style inspiration, thank you :).

Those jeans are amazing. I feel like flares can sometimes make you look stumpy, but on you they look long and lean. Love this look!

Thank you! And it’s so funny, because I’m not long and lean – I’m only 5’6″!

What a great look! It’s incredibly comfortable looking, but still very pulled together – not slouchy! I have a pair of wide boot-cut jeans that I’ll also never get rid of – they make my legs look miles long!

Way to totally rock that outfit! I will have to dig up my old flare pants; you’ve inspired me. Btw, your daughter is absolutely adorable. 🙂

I am not usually into flared jeans, but girl you rock that outfit! I love how you incorporated stripes with a cozy sweater too. Definitely going to use that as inspiration for my next trip!
