Harper's First Birthday | My Heart

#momlife. Yep, it’s taken me more than 2 months to share our family photos of Harper’s first birthday.

Family photos. I always dread the day. The prep, the posing (Me?? Dread posing?? I know, but it’s true.) I always want to cancel. It seems like a waste of time, and I can think of 1,482 better ways we could spend an afternoon together as a family.

But then I get the photos back. And I am always SO grateful we took the time to do it.

We decided to have her first birthday photo shoot at our home. Harper would be comfortable, and her nap schedule wouldn’t be interrupted. Seeing our home, our pool, our backyard in these photos make them even more special.
