My Closet | Skull Wallpaper

Hi, sweet friends! Well, the secret’s out. I have skeletons in my closet. HA. (No but for real, I’m sure I do.)

Yes, I’m into skulls. If you’re not and you don’t understand the appeal, that’s OK! And it’s safe to say that this post won’t be for you. Because…skulls.

My closet has become my favorite spot in our home. It’s my safe space. If you’ve listened to The Sober Mom Life podcast, you know how special this room is to me. It’s where I retreat when I need space from the chaos of my home. It’s where I go to cry and feel everything I need to feel. It’s also where I read, write in my journal and record my podcasts.

It’s dark and doesn’t have any windows. So, rather than trying to brighten it up, I decided to lean all the way into the dark. Like, ALL the way.

Here’s a shot of it without any lights on. You can see it’s like a dark, cozy cave.

This skull wallpaper is exactly what I wanted. The skulls are raised velvet and just so chic. Warning, though: you definitely need an expert wallpaper installer. Our guy, Gary, hated me the entire time he was working on the closet. Haha.

The pink chair is just here until this chair arrives! I ordered it earlier this year and I’m still waiting on it. It will complete the space perfectly. Stay tuned – I’ll be sure to share update pics as soon as it arrives!
