Hi, sweet friends. How was your weekend? Did you get to take some deep breaths, maybe a nap or do some yoga?
The blog was quiet last week for a few reasons. First, I couldn’t concentrate on anything except the riots and turmoil in Washington. My anxiety was high and my foundation felt shaky.
I expect this week to be no different. While I’m filled with so much hope, I’m also scared. If you’re feeling the same, all I can say is that you’re not alone.
I wanted to share something about the importance of Martin Luther King Day today, so I’m sharing some of the articles that have helped me learn more about it…
It is also a federal holiday dedicated to a day of service, when Americans are encouraged to heed Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s words: “Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve.”

I’ve had my eye on this mini puffer coat for a few years and finally ordered it this winter. It’s crazy cozy and a great alternative to my heavy down winter coat. It comes in a bunch of colors and styles – I’m wearing XS in camel brown. It’s currently on sale for $51! This is the lowest I’ve seen it and I doubt it will go lower.
I love pairing my puffer coat with a good pair of boots and the pop of color from the laces adds a nice detail. My exact boots are sold out, but I’m linking similar below…
