The Sweet Edit | No. 27

Happy Friday and Sweet Edit, sweet friends!

You guys.

Yesterday was a day.

It was one of those the-kids-aren’t-happy-everyone-is-tired-I-just-wanna-curl-up-in-a-ball kinda days. By the time the clock hit 4pm, I’d had it. We had our family date night planned, so I pulled everything and everyone (including myself) together, gave the threenager a couple of thinly veiled “If you don’t go potty before we leave” threats, and we piled into the car.

Promptly, the baby started wailing and the threenager started whining.  

I wanted to cry. 

Instead, I did what any self-respecting 37 year old mom would do. 

I blasted Notorious BIG. 

I instantly felt lighter. My mood vastly improved.

And guess what? Apparently, my girls have excellent taste in music, because they both became quiet AND happy.

Moral of the story? If all else fails, Biggie Smalls won’t. 

(And you haven’t seen cute until you’ve seen a 3 year old walking around the house, singing to herself: “Biggie, Biggie, Biggie, can’t you see…” Trust me on this)

I picked up this sweater on Tuesday and I’ve already worn it thrice. (Did I mention it’s 40% off?)

I got Lisa Rinna and I’m kind of re-thinking everything. 

I always get so many questions about my rug. I highly recommend it, even with kiddos. It’s wool, so it’s easy to clean. Also, the pewter color is on sale and it’s gorgeous. 

Because: metallic. 

I’ve been thinking about this bad boy ever since my try-on haul last month, so hopped online and ordered it this week. (What’s the opposite of buyer’s remorse?)

The truthiest truth there’s ever been.

Don’t forget Daylight Saving Time begins Sunday! Yay. (PS – what if we kept it year round? Yes, please.)
