I could make this pregnancy update very short and to the point: I FEEL HUGE. THE END.
You guys. Second pregnancies are no joke. Whoa. This belly is giant and my booty is competing for attention. I’m trying to keep it all in perspective. My baby girl is healthy and I only have just over a month to go. But geez…the extra weight gain this time sure could get a girl down if I let it. (And sometimes I do…)
I’ve been living in these long-sleeve tees. They’re non-maternity (AND on sale for less than $12!!), but are long in the back and run big enough that I can miraculously still get away with wearing a small. I know I’ll love them afterwards, too.
I’ve also returned to my favorite nursing bra, and it’s been a Godsend during this last trimester. These bras are super comfortable for right now and my absolute favorite for nursing.
My favorite maternity leggings have sold out (BOO), but I’m linking the originals here. They’re more expensive, but if you wear them daily like I do, it’s totally worth it. I will keep checking on the less expensive version and let you know when they’re back in stock.
Of course, my nesting has continued and I’ve found some super cute things for baby girl. Like this little hat. I mean, really?! ADORABLE.
And, I found THE cutest Etsy shop that customizes onesies and hats and everything else for your babe.
The nursery is starting to come together! I can’t wait to reveal it on here (my goal is to make that happen before baby girl’s arrival, but we’ll see if I can get my act together…). For now, I’ll share some of my finds in the widget below. 😉
PREGNANCY UPDATE
ENERGY
Energy? What is that? I’ve been fighting a bout of Bronchitis and Harper has been fighting naps. So that about sums it up.
CRAVINGS
Nothing totally out of the ordinary. I totally overdid all of the Christmas cookies and treats, and now I’m trying to get back on track for January. BUT, it’s so easy to let myself indulge when I know this is my last baby and probably the last time I’ll really let myself eat whatever the hell I want! But…then I look in the mirror…
BODY CHANGES
I could devote an entire blog post blog to the body changes this time. Not only do I feel big, but this pregnancy has made me feel OLD. Like, for real. That’s a new feeling for me, since I’m generally very healthy and fit. But, whoa. My whole body aches, my back feels like it’s going to give way any second and my pelvis has had just about enough of the constant pressure.
The plus side? I haven’t broken out at all during this pregnancy. It was the same with Harper. Apparently, my face likes being pregnant.
MOST EXCITED ABOUT…
I keep daydreaming about how it’s all going to go down. How is she going to make her appearance into this world? I am so excited to meet her and see her little face. And then when I think about Harper meeting her for the first time, my heart just can’t stand it.

You look great! Enjoy these last few weeks … especially if you know she’s your last baby. I can’t tell you how much you miss being pregnant when you know you’ll never be again. I wish I’d enjoyed Ella’s pregnancy a little more than I did. And you’ll find that you’re kinder to yourself the second time around. It’s okay if the weight doesn’t magically fall off … you grew an entire human being! I hope your birth experience is everything you hope it will be, and you’re right, there’s nothing like sisters meeting for the first time!
Aww, you look amazing and still have a positive attitude! You def don’t look old nor fat! You look absolutely incredible 🙂
I think you look fabulous! You ARE growing an entire human inside your body, after all! The second pregnancy is absolutely no joke, however…I totally got you on that! I just had my second in October and I can so relate to everything that you mentioned!

This is all so exciting and brings back so many of my favorite memories. I remember daydreaming for hours about how my daughter would arrive. I also remember feeling super achy in the last trimester. Good luck mama, you look wonderful!
