Happy Monday, sweet friends!
Phew. This weekend was a full one. My good friend came to visit and we stayed up way too late watching shark shows. (Is anyone else obsessed with Shark Week??) It’s yet another reminder that I’m no longer 30 and I have no business being up after 9pm. (Yes, I’m an old lady.)
Alright, let’s talk about why I’m wearing a cashmere cardigan on an 80 degree day…. Enter summer layers. This is one of my favorite Nordstrom Anniversary Sale finds. The reviews all say that it runs way too big, but I haven’t found that. Yes, it runs big (I’m wearing XS/S) and I think it’s perfect. (For reference: I’m 5’6″ and normally wear size 2). Yes, it’s roomy, but I love a big, cozy cardigan. It doesn’t feel frumpy.
I ordered these cut-offs shortly having baby girl, and note to self: NEVER DO THAT AGAIN. It was a quick dose of reality when I couldn’t pull them up past my knees. I made it my goal to be able to fit in them by 9 months postpartum, and YAY. I did it. (Also – they run small! Size up.) I love, love, love them.
My sunglasses are a fave Amazon purchase and they’re currently on sale! $44. You can’t beat that.
OK, my recent splurge. Ahhhh. If you’ve followed along for awhile, you know that I love a great deal. I’m highly allergic to paying full price to most everything. I blame working in retail for so long – I know the margins and markups and that eventually, that price is coming down.
BUT.
Handbags. Handbags are the exception. As my husband has learned after being with me for 7 years, designer handbags are art. Most increase in value over the years, and all of my bags will be handed down to my girls, who will hopefully hand them down to their kids. Nope, I’m not kidding. They’ll be my legacy. (I mean, other than my sweet girls. Obvs.)
This little lady is my birthday present for this year and I’m obsessed. I love that it’s different than anything I’ve seen. It’s not dressy, which means I can even carry it for my #momlife. YAY. (Thank you, bubs!)
