Simple Oat + Raisin Scones

A perfect Thanksgiving morning breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup butter melted
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1-1/2 cups flour
  • 1-1/4 cups quick oats
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup raisins

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425.

  2. Combine all dry ingredients.
  3. Add butter, milk and egg to dry ingredients; mix just until moistened.
  4. Stir in raisins.
  5. Shape dough to form a ball; pat out on lightly floured surface to form 8-inch circle.
  6. Cut into 8 to 12 wedges.
  7. Bake on greased cookie sheet for 12-15 minutes or until light golden brown.
  8. Drizzle with honey and enjoy every bite!
