My Kind of Eats: Overnight Oats

January 20, 2016

This Overnight Oats recipe is perfect if you’re super busy, or if you hate having to take the time to make breakfast in the morning and instead just end up popping a couple mini York Peppermint patties in your mouth and calling it good…

It’s super simple, and most importantly, doesn’t require cooking (dance break).

Here’s how I make my overnight oats:

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup almond milk (less or more, depending on how you like your oats. I use more.)
  • 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • sprinkle of chia seed
  • dash of slivered almonds
  • drizzle of honey or maple syrup
  • cinnamon
  • handful of your favorite berries (you can add these in the morning, but I do it all the night before)

Combine all ingredients in a mason jar (or another container that can be sealed) and mix together. Refrigerate overnight and get ready to enjoy a delicious and nutritious breakfast in the morning!
