The Sweet Edit | No. 20

Happy Friday, sweet friends! We made it.

I know. I’m one blog post short for the week. I just couldn’t get my act together. I blame the children. (Mama pro tip: always blame the children.)

It’s still entirely too arctic in Chicago. I’m not exactly sure what level of cold I’m comfortable with, but this isn’t it. The air hurts and it’s way too miserable to spend any time outside. So, we’ve been inside all week. Which means the girls have been playing and I’ve been purging and organizing and cleaning and then organizing some more.

The highlight of my week was a solo trip to Target. (It was a slow week.) Target never disappoints, does it? There’s a reason moms always wax poetic about Target. It’s because we can pick up the boring life essentials like diapers, wipes and laundry detergent, but we can also get lost in the home decor aisles. And the shoe section. And the home office area. You get the idea.

Something about the start of a new year makes me want to redecorate. I’m starting with my home office and will be showing you the final result on here soon. Since I’m feeling so inspired to spruce things up around here, I thought I’d dedicate today’s Sweet Edit to all things home decor.

As always, thank you for stopping by!

Pretty sure my home office needs this, right?

Can’t. Stop. Organizing.

My go-to for the kiddos. Now, to tackle that playroom…

And speaking of playrooms, how perfect is THIS?

Someone hand me my coffee + book, please.

Ahhhh, take me to the beach.

For all of those photos that are forever on my phone.

LOVE. (Kidding.)

Feeling the urge to redecorate, too? Major inspo right this way….

Love the items …also thinking of redecorating my space… it’s small but definitely inspired.

We live in Illinois as well and talk about freezing weather. High is 11 degrees today and it is a heat wave. Always blame the kids when all else fails.

(Trigger warning – I’m about to sound like your mother:) With such a big hole in your jeans, no wonder you’re cold! Put some Cuddle Duds under those pants, girl! 😆

I feel you. This crazy, arctic weather here in Boston is unreal. I want to spruce up my home decor for the new year, so it looks like I need to make a Target run myself.

Oh my sweet, sweet Target. Gone from Canada so soon haha. Target always had the most amazing office products, so I’m sad that I have to travel south of the border because Walmart just doesn’t compare! Great post! I love the cute kettle 🙂

Wish we still had a Target here in Canada!!
