Beach Vacation: 5 Packing Tips For Moms

Tracking Pixel
Happy Monday, sweet friends! I’m so excited to be partnering with Dove to try their Dove Advanced Care Antiperspirant and bring you my top 5 packing tips for moms!

If you’ve been reading my blog the last month, you know that I have a major case of wanderlust. Couple that with spring fever and I’m SO ready to travel somewhere warm. Good thing we have a beach vacation just around the corner.

I’ll be honest: before I had kids, I was a notorious over-packer. (“Yes, honey. Of course I need 7 pairs a shoes for a weekend getaway.”)

These days, I don’t have the luxury of packing everything and the kitchen sink. And when you’re packing for the whole family (probably including your husband), it takes a whole lot of planning and preparation.

MAKE A PACKING LIST.  I start planning outfits at least a week ahead of our trip. (And by a week ahead, I mean a month.) Especially for the girls, I need to know what we have and what we need. I don’t want to be running out to pick up bathing suits or sundresses the night before we leave.

HAVE A TRY-ON SESSION. This goes for you and the little ones. Not only because those kids can grow an inch overnight, but because sometimes outfits are better in our mind than in reality. (Sorry to break it to you.)

STICK TO THE BASICS. Traveling is not the time to try out a new eye cream for you or diaper cream for your little ones. Stick to what you know you know and love. Suitcase space is limited, so just pack your tried and true favorite products. Dr. Alicia Barba, who is a dermatologist for Dove, says if you’re tight on space pack your favorite cleanser, sunscreen, deodorant and the makeup you love and use all the time.

CARRY ON A CHANGE OF CLOTHES (FOR EVERYONE). Consider this your “just in case” stash. Just in case your luggage doesn’t arrive when you do. Just in case the baby has a blowout. Just in case your husband spills coffee all over his pants. Just in case the toddler gets airsickness for the first time. You just never know…

SPEAKING OF YOUR CARRY-ON, DEODORANT IS ESSENTIAL. Is it just me, or is motherhood very….sweaty? Couple that with a cramped plane and whoa.

Enter: Dove Advanced Care. The good news? It’s small, but effective, which is like the mama’s holy grail of products. And, it’s TSA approved in full size. It provides 48-hour odor and wetness protection, which is a total necessity for all busy mamas. Plus, it has moisturizers that help alleviate irritation and leave you with softer and smoother underarms. It’s a total win, win, if you ask me. Check out Dove Advanced Care Antiperspirant online here.

A busy mama’s lifesaver….

My carry-on essentials: Lipgloss, concealer, sunglasses + Dove Advanced Care.

And coffee. Because #momlife.

If I buy this Dove deodorant am I paying for your airfare to Bahamas (or wherever you are heading for vacation)? I don’t mean to sound smug, I am truly interested in learning more about your sponsored links. Are you paid every time someone buys a product featured on your blog? Can you possibly explain to readers what these sponsorships and endorsements are all about? I like your blog very much. I just want to know more about the business side. Thanks!

Hi, Karin. No, you’re not paying my airfare. However, if a post is sponsored, I do have an agreement with the brand, which I disclose at the beginning and the end of the post.

I’ve been using Dove Advanced Care for years. I even buy the travel size to keep in my purse because we all have those days when we’re like, “Did I put deodorant on?” Perfect for your gym bag too.
